Stuck

Do you happen to be #stuck in traffic? For some time now, fortunately, it happens to me much less often than before. However, when I lived in Poland, I spent long hours in traffic jams almost every day, moving from the office to the court, from court to client. Today, however, it concerns me to a much lesser extent.
It stuck in my memory the most, when I was returning from Lower Silesia to Łódź, I got stuck on the A4 motorway in a 3-hour traffic jam. The route, which usually took me a maximum of 3.5 hours, this time extended to 6. A kind of nightmare ... During that time I was watching people's behavior. Some of them honked impatiently, others shouted something, tapped their foreheads ... You will say: typical ... They behaved like this because they wanted to do something, they wanted to reach their destination, and the #circumstances made them stop. Time was ticking and they were still not at their destination.
Nice metaphor for life, huh?
How often do you feel stuck in place? Life is moving forward, the world is #changing, and you? You are standing in place, hopeless. Convinced that nothing depends on you, that you cannot move "because" ... And here you can list a whole litany of reasons why you can't do anything. You feel trapped, angry, and powerless. What if I told you again that you have ... A #CHOICE!
Sure you can get mad, swear, struggle with life. You can. Your choice. You can also sit passively and hope that it will "change itself".
You can CHOOSE that you will do otherwise, that you will take #RESPONSIBILITY for yourself and your life.
You can treat the moments of "downtime" as the time that is given to you. Use it. Make it work for you, make this time pay off. Use it to bring you closer to your goal. Your destination, your target, is where it was. It doesn't run away, you can get to it. Even when circumstances require you to slow down, you can still reach your destination! No traffic jam lasts forever, eventually, the blockage will let go. Same thing in life. The slowdown will not last forever. Keep moving to the goal. Even slowly. Kilometer after kilometer.
You may need to choose an alternative route. Maybe you need to see things through the eyes of an observer, take some distance? A different route will allow you to consider opportunities that you would not have noticed on the original track.
Will you ask me how to use the downtime? You know, life has put me in such slowdown moments several times. There is only one recipe. Invest. Invest in what you have the most valuable and in what no one will ever take from you. Invest in self-development!
