Self-esteem and the results of professionals.

Updated: Sep 10, 2021

What is the most important in the work of highly qualified professionals - lawyers, tax advisors, negotiators, leaders in their fields? What makes them perfect, outstanding representatives of these professions? What makes one law student (despite exactly the same predispositions) achieve better results than others? Why does one applicant, despite the same excellent grades during the application, find a much better and better-paid job than another? What makes them better than the rest? Where do their much more brilliant results come from? You know each of us is different, will you agree with me? However ... the main thing that sets us apart from others is self-confidence, the level of self-esteem. Think, if you don't trust yourself, can others freely and without a shadow of a doubt trust you? Imagine that you are a well-educated lawyer, you graduated from the best university in the country, you had only excellent grades on your application. Your first independent case is ahead of you. You have to go to court, and in front of you ... Harvey Specter appears (by the way - I love him!). What's your condition? Your well-being? Where are your thoughts going? Your emotional state? What's going on with you? What do you think will make you win a dispute with him as your opponent? What's one thing Harvey won't stand a chance against you? Confidence! Only deep, real inner confidence can make anything possible. Look, neither of us was born with self-confidence, neither of us was given confidence as something extra. The conditions, environment, situations that we have encountered in life, and the circumstances we have faced have caused some of us to have a higher level of self-confidence, the others to have a lower level. There is nothing extraordinary about it. Excellent! So, you already know that you can change this level of self-confidence, increase it, work it out! Are you wondering if you should wait for the right moment? What can you do to improve your confidence levels? Let's make it straight, the sooner you start working on yourself, the better! There is nothing to wait for! If you care about results in your professional life, in business, you must act regardless of time and current circumstances. I will give you 6 ways to improve your self-esteem. Let's start with the fact that you have to live consciously. What does it mean? You need to follow your thoughts throughout the day, be aware of them. You need to know where they come from, why you think and react in a certain way. Did you know that a confident person lives very consciously? She looks at the surrounding reality with confidence. Accept yourself! Fully. You can't say "I like myself BUT ..." and here comes a whole litany of reasons why it turns out that you don't accept yourself at all. Remember that you can always change something that doesn't suit you. I will give you a very simple example;) Maybe you are not satisfied with your level of knowledge of a foreign language? Ok, that's what it is! Accept it ... and learn! You can improve your communication skills in a foreign language without having to blame yourself at every step and tell yourself that you are "linguistic ignorant". What about things that are beyond your control? Since you have no influence, seriously ... all you have to do is accept reality. Another point - be assertive! I will not repeat it again - on the blog you will find a few articles on this subject, a free e-book, and soon you will be able to participate in a free webinar (for which you register here). The subject is very thoroughly discussed by me. Take responsibility for your life, your results. Stop blaming other people for your current results (which may not satisfy you) or the circumstances you encounter. You are responsible for your life, your emotions, your feelings ... however uncomfortable it may seem - this is the truth! You know people tend to avoid taking action. When they encounter a problem, they try to solve it, but if the attempt turns out to be unsuccessful, they let go and learn to live with the problem. They then begin to blame everyone and everything for the failure. Set a goal! Do you know that many people live aimlessly? Simply put, they flow through life, expecting to be happy to reach the shore ... They don't even make an effort to figure out what they would like to be there for them. Practice integration with yourself. You wonder what I mean by that. Live so that your actions, thoughts, and feelings are consistent with each other.
